Stay in Charge as a Material management Apprentice

The United States Air Force uses a lot of different kinds of material in every day operation. It is necessary to make sure that the right material is in the right place at all times. This is the only way that the personnel who need the materials will be able to complete their missions. When you work as a material management apprentice you will help to make sure that the material needed is in the right place at the right time.

What You Will Do

While requisitions will be a very large part of your career, you will also have to maintain the stores that you have. This means you will go through and make a physical inventory of everything which is in stock. When you have shipped out material or delivered the material to the recipient, you will be in charge of making sure that the records have been properly adjusted to reflect the changes.

The Training

Just like every other position in the US Air Force, when you work in this position you will receive top notch training. You will learn to work with the different computer systems. You will also learn how to understand how to create specs on what you have on hand versus what your base needs on any given basis. This way you will be able to do your job better.
